What to Expect

  • Each week, we will explore a singular erotic power of sound. Practicing in small groups and one on one, we will feel that erotic power in our bodies and integrate it into our erotic expression.
  • Sound is a multi-functional erotic engine. When we engage sound, we tap into a higher expression of pleasure, sensation and empowerment. We dislodge shame. We reconnect to our primitive intelligence buried beneath our modern mental dominance.
  • Most of us emerged into our sexual adulthood in silence and the two have been seared together. Only now can we undo the need to hide our sound and once reintegrated, it gives us access to a part of pleasure spectrum that many of us never knew we were missing.

The Erotic Power of Sound has many functions. Each week we will explore a different way that sound connects, expands and transforms pleasure. For many of us, expressing sounds of pleasure can be very difficult. The stealthy silence once used to hide the erotic awakening in our teens becomes, for some, a straight jacket many wear throughout their adult lives.

In this workshop, we will explore sound as a connector. Sound as vibrator. Sound as an amplifier and as a transformer. We will break through the sound barriers engaging in playful, sound-making experiments. The erotic power of sound is an exploration to reclaim that lost erotic power.

Facilitators

Lui Gervais
Lui is a guest faciltitor with the Body Electric School. Lui Gervais is a writer, dancer, artist and sex/intimacy coach. He is the author of The Nipple Whisperer and other erotic epiphanies. He has taught his creative, somatic intimacy courses at schools and festivals around the world. He has offered a sacred intimacy practice in Seattle, WA for more than decade. His online course Moving Into Intimacy has been downloaded by hundreds of students. He holds a MFA in movement and somatic practices from the University of Washington. He is the founder of the Menbodied Institute and lives currently in Austin, TX.

How do I register?
