Our bodies are our path to connection, pleasure, power, and liberation.
Our bodies are also the depository for shame, pain, and our fears of not-enoughness.
Shame prevents us from fully enjoying and celebrating our bodies because we are burdened and repressed by the “shoulds” of our lives.
In this course, we will create a potent, supportive container to explore and transform those private burdens of shame that we all carry. We will guide you toward a less shame-laden way of living through various modalities like breathwork, meditation, movement, journaling, visualization, open-hearted sharing, and self-loving.
We won’t promise that you will always be comfortable during your encounters with the edge where transformation occurs so we would like to suggest that, in addition to our team, you find a support person in your life in order not to be alone when you undertake this journey.
Goals:
To understand how shame functions in our familial, personal, relational, and collective lives to keep us from our full power and pleasure.
To develop practices of embodiment and compassion to work with shame
To experience how embracing vulnerability allows us to bring shame into the light of honor where it cannot survive.
To build resilience and courage.
To recognize, release and heal patterns of shame.
To step into a new way of living, without apology, in our glorious bodies.
