Description

Who is this for?

This workshop for All Men, including trans, cis, genderqueer, and non-binary folks who feel a sense of belonging in men’s space.

Description

Do you have a difficult time asking for what you want?

Or do you even know what you desire?

Would you find it helpful to bring clear and concise words to your voice?

This foundational course can set your path through Body Electric as someone new to the work or for folks who want to create a more embodied expansion in their Body Electric journey. In this in-person workshop, we will practice making requests and offers and how to negotiate clearly so that we can seek more pleasure.

We will be working with the Wheel of Consent, created by Betty Martin, who was inspired by the 3 Minute Game by former Body Electric Facilitator Harry Faddis. We will also be dropping into different types of somatic practices that will enable you to witness your body, identify what your body is desiring, and be able to ask for what you want! This fundamental workshop is not about technique. It is about how to live and practice being in agreement so that we can be in the gift of pleasure.

This is an experience where we will keep our clothes on and will involve plenty of noticing, choosing, touching, and plenty of building the skill of negotiation with consent. As the weekend progresses, we will be led into developing an experience where we can cultivate a ritual that provides a clear space for erotic liberation.

Your coordinator for this workshop is Doug: newyork@bodyelectric.org

Facilitators

JoJo (He, Him) is committed to creating environments where men, single or coupled, can feel safe enough to explore their wants, needs, and desires around their body, sex, and sexuality.
