How Scholarships Deepen Our Community & Connection
At The Body Electric School, we often talk about the power of the “circle.” It’s the safe, brave space where we gather to drop our armor, reclaim our eros, and connect deeply with ourselves and one another. But a circle is only as vibrant, resilient, and beautiful as the diversity of the voices within it.
As we continue to explore our theme of Community & Connection, it is vital to look at how we tend to that circle. How do we ensure that this life-changing somatic work remains accessible to everyone who hears the call, regardless of their financial circumstances?
For us, one answer is simple: We care for our community through our Scholarship Funds.
Radical Inclusion in Action
True connection requires radical inclusion. When financial barriers prevent someone from stepping into a workshop, our entire community misses out on their unique energy, wisdom, and presence.
The Dr. Steve Schwartzberg Scholarship Fund exists to bridge that gap. Named after a beloved member of our lineage who embodied generosity and a “beginner’s mind,” these funds are entirely community-driven. They are fueled by the donations, memberships, and open hearts of alumni who have experienced the transformative power of a Body Electric workshop and want to pay it forward.
Last year alone, our community came together to provide over 150 scholarships. Every single one of those represented a seat held open, a heart welcomed home, and a life shifted toward greater pleasure, aliveness, and healing.
Ways of Support
The beauty of the Body Electric ecosystem is that we take turns supporting and being supported. Wherever you find yourself today, there is a place for you:
- If you need support: Our partial scholarships are administered based on equity and need. We review applications on the 1st and 15th of every month. If you want to attend a virtual course or an in-person workshop but need a financial bridge, explore our Scholarship Application here.
- If you want to give support: If you are in a position to help someone else experience the profound healing of this work, your tax-deductible gift goes directly toward tuition assistance. You can help us keep the circle wide by making a donation to the Scholarship Fund today.

Spotlighting Creativity, Ritual & The Erotic Impulse
While scholarships support our offerings across the board—from online courses to intensive in-person retreats—we want to bring special awareness this month to an incredible opportunity.
We are currently highlighting scholarship availability for our upcoming workshop, Creativity, Ritual & The Erotic Impulse.
This specific journey is all about uncovering new depths of self-expression by exploring the profound link between artistry and our life-force energy. It is a space where we transform creative blocks into sensual power. If your soul is calling you to this work, but your wallet is telling you otherwise, please know that financial barriers shouldn’t keep you from the circle.
Right now, there are many young people who deeply desire to do this work but simply cannot afford the cost of tuition and lodging. We are reaching out to ask those in our community who are financially stable or abundant to help us bridge this gap. We are launching a special Sponsorship Drive to fund full and partial grants, allowing these individuals to attend this intensive at no cost to them.
- Full Sponsorship $2800: Covers the entire tuition and accommodations for one grant recipient.
- Half Sponsorship $1400: Covers half the cost, matching with another donor to send a participant.
- Community Spark ($50 or more): Contributes directly to our general scholarship fund for this workshop.
We want to celebrate your generosity: unless you prefer to remain anonymous, all sponsors will be gratefully acknowledged during the workshop, on our website, and in our community newsletters.
