About the Workshop

This event will help you see your way through ableism. Using their lived experience and years of professional work teaching people about disability, Disability Awareness Consultant Andrew Gurza will work with participants to explore how pervasive ableism is in our society.

Employing a mixture of personal stories, guided visualization and raw, real questions about disability, you will leave this event, not with all the answers on how to end ableism, but with the tools to understand how ableism and prejudice against disabled people can affect your life.

We will also explore the connection between disability and the erotic. Andrew will give you the opportunity to confront ableism in a safe, non-judgmental environment, which will leave you with the confidence to work towards anti-ableism within yourself.

For questions about this event, please email the Registrar at registrar@bodyelectric.org.

Facilitator(s)

Andrew Gurza is an award winning Disability Awareness Consultant and the Chief Disability Officer and Co-founder of Bump’n, a sex toy company for and by disabled people.
