Description

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for everyone. All genders, all genitals, and all expressions are welcome.

More about this workshop:

For questions or more information, please contact Lizz at lizz@bodyelectric.org

This workshop is an introduction to a stream of Tantra, a philosophy that originated in India. This form of Tantra centers the body as a laboratory for transformation, consciously weaving Eros and Spirit, breath and energy. In this workshop, you will explore principles and practices to generate greater grounding, attunement, and aliveness.

The workshop involves experiments to embody Tantric principles through erotic touch, breath, movement and meditation. The dynamic relationship between the physical and energetic will be explored via the chakra system. We will be guided by pleasure and its healing capacity.

Conscious consent, choice, and humor are foundational to our weekend container.

This workshop offers a hands-on, consensual clothes-off experience. If you want to explore your relationship to desire and pleasure in a conscious way in a community of like-minded journeyers this workshop is for you!

Celebrating the Body Erotic is not a prerequisite for this workshop. We acknowledge that Tantra is a tradition of spiritual practice and philosophy that comes from and belongs to Indian peoples and bodies of culture. We are white-bodied folks who began studying Tantra in 2000, as a way to continue to explore our curiosity and hunger for a path that honored embodied sexuality and spirituality. We honor the traditions we have learned, knowing we do not own them, and we strive to appreciate rather than appropriate.

Facilitator(s)

Lizz Randall (They/She) is a somatic practitioner whose work is devoted to radical embodiment, authentic intimacy, and Eros as a healing force.
Mark Fleming (he/they) is a Sacred Intimate who has been exploring the healing connections between sex and spirit for 30+ years. His work toward Conscious Erotic Embodiment is underpinned by both Neo and Classical Tantra.
